My new homemade light reflectors!

Hey everyone! For ages now I wanted to make these "homemade light reflectors" so that I have more light in my room when I take photos.
Well, I ran out of aluminium foil, so I only made two small ones.

Here they are and here are two photos to show the results:

Well, in conclusion I don't recommend these if you are a very dedicated photographer/professional cause they aren't that great. But for a beginner like me, they're fine.

Hope you all enjoy your day! Photoholic. Pin It

My first participation to Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hi everyone!
It's the first time I participate to this link-up party. I read about it today and noticed that I have till tomorrow to participate, so if my photos look a it dull it's because I had no time to take new fresh ones, and had to take a few old ones which I quickly photoshoped.

So here they are:

1.Life

I had no idea what photo to use for the "life" theme. But when I found this one, I just felt like it suited this somehow, even though it doesn't exactly.
But this image just reminds of how fascinating life is, and how many people and animals exist on this planet. I felt this way when I took this picture.

2.Fragrant + Pink

I thought that this photo just fitted with both: Fragrant and Pink.
It's a quite simple picture, nothing too special but roses smell wonderful and this one had a beautiful color.

3.Obvious

What is more obvious than a child loving his toy?
This image was not a good quality one because this little guy wouldn't stop moving. But this image was so cute (in my opinion) and it is very obvious that children adore their little buddies.

I think I jumped one theme, but I don't have time to find a photo for it, so I just leave it like that.
I hope these pictures were not too boring, I think I would have done a better job if I had more time.

Anyway, I wish everyone a great week!

Sunshine, your back!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here where I live and it was so wonderful to have the sun warming my back again!
(Unfortunately today is grey).
But I took a picture to celebrate the beginning of spring:

I also noticed today (different subject) that I really need a proper camera! I've been wanting one for at least a year now but it's too bad I can't afford one yet.
If anyone doesn't need theirs anymore, you can give it to me! (=D just kidding; unless you really do have one =D)

Before I forget, I wanted to thank Georgia for giving me advice and tips for my photos. I used two of her actions on this picture and I already love them (still have to learn how to use them perfectly). So thank you so much Georgia and I hope you and your family have a great week!

Bloggers: Georgia's blog is called "it's just how I see things..." , and if you like photography, you'll love this blog!

Have a great day everyone  =)

Tag: 11 questions...

Today I was reading the "don't rain on mondays" blog, and I read an older post which was about 11 questions.
The owner of this blog, lissa, wrote that you can tag yourself. Since I'm quite bored today and have not much to do, I decided that I will answer these questions just for fun.

1. If you suddenly find yourself in a Jane Austen/Charlotte Bronte book, which character would you be?
There are so many characters created by Jane Austen that I know but I guess I'm similar to Jane (cause she's quite calm) but at the same time I could be Kitty (cause she's a bit over-excited like I am at times). I've read all of Jane Austen's books, but it's mostly these two characters from "Pride & Prejudice" that I would be.

2. What one superhero ability would you like to have?
I'd LOVE to read in people's minds.

3. If aliens come to earth and choose you as their leader, would you go with them?
Yep.

4. If an asteroid is crashing toward earth and the government wants you to save the world and you are allow to choose your own team, who would you choose?
I don't really understand this question, but if I had to select a team to help me, I would gather up the best scientifics and geniuses in the world. Then I'd let them do all the work while I'm partying for the (maybe) last time of my life  =D.

5. Which Peanuts character would likely be you?
I don't know them that well, but I would be Sally. She always wants to know the answers to everything, and I'm the same way.

6. If you can time travel, where or when would go to -- the past or the future?
I would go first to the past, to see how people lived in the 19th century (like the characters in jane austen's books) I'd love to see their dresses and carriages. Then I'd go to the far away future to see what will happen to us and how much technology will change the world.

7. Would you rather get stuck in an elevator for 72 hours or watch a 27-hour movie marathon featuring your most hateful actor/actress in which you cannot fast forward, not even the credits?
I would prefer the elevator: you can sleep while your waiting. =) and you don't have to look at George Clooney for 27 hours =D

8. If you get to choose, would still choose to be human again?
Yep.

9. If you can save someone's life by doing something really bad/evil, would you do it?
That depends on how evil it would be.

10. Would you rather throw a 24-hour party or sleep all day?
Emmmm..... both? =D

Thank you for reading! I really enjoyed doing this so if anyone wants to "tag" me or something like that, go ahead!
Have a great day! Pin It

Moving Pictures: Bubbles

It's the first time I participate in a "link-up party" and I'm very excited!
I hadn't had time this week to do what I wanted to create but I made this image which isn't very exciting but it's better than nothing =)
These days have been very busy, which made me worry about not making it on time to participate in this little project.
I'm so excited about this, that I have decided to start participating in other link-up parties (is that what they're called?)
By the way, this is a great idea Georgia B! Hope you'll make more parties in the future!

So here's my little creation, called "Bubbles":

And thank you again Georgia for having this wonderful idea! Thanks to you I learnt what these little link-up parties are all about !

Taking a Closer Look at Nature...

Today was a wonderful sunny day, and sun makes nature look so beautiful, so I thought to myself: why not take some nice photos?
Here are a couple of them that I find pretty. I always thought that outdoor photos are much nicer than indoor ones. The colours, the light, everything makes them so much more special!
