My mini-celebration

Today I'm doing a mini-celebration for the end of school and the results of my exams. I finally finished school after being there for 12 years! As a child, I never thought that it was possible to reach the end of school.

But now I'm finally there and I'm growing up :D!

When I started this blog I was 17 and now I'm 18. So we (my family and I) celebrated me turning 18 and everything that's happening with some ice cream and a -strange- present.

This is one of my favourite ice cream brands. favourite or favorite? :)

And my mom was so sweet and bought me some (only for me, no sharing with my siblings :P)

and when I arrived home from work, I found a strange pirate/treasure box on my bed with a little ribbon on it.

Yes so this box is a present from my father. He was on a flee market and found this old pirate looking box.

When I asked him where the pirate gold was? (haha) he said that this box was great for some of my mountains of jewelry. He had actually noticed how full my other one is and said that this one would do the trick.

So that was something funny and cute about my day today. I decided to try to put up a post everyday, or every second day. I just noticed that I'm much more attracted to blogs where everyday there's something new even if it's nothing too special.

Sorry for my absence...

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to say sorry and make sure you all know that I'm still alive ;)

I've been so busy these last two months with studies, exams, work, ... and so much more! But it's not over, which means it will get more and more difficult for me to upload posts on my blog. I'm at a time in life where so much stuff is happening (finishing school, soon passing my driver's licence, looking for an appartment, ...). But this doesn't mean that I'm not blogging anymore, no way! I love blogging. I never thought I would enjoy it this much when I started. But I do! It's so wonderful. I feel so free: my blog is my own little piece of the internet where I can choose the shape, colours, everything on my page...and the posts! Of course I don't mean that we can put anything up on our blogs, but we have the freedom to take our own photos, to talk in our own words ( by the way, I'm not a good writer, so sorry for mistakes or weird sentences :)) about things that really interest us and might (or not) interest others.

So that's all I wanted to say; I just wanted to remind you that the lack of activity on my blog doesn't signify that I'm bored of blogging, no no no! I just don't find that much time these days.

Well I wish everyone a great day! And I hopefully will post some more stuff.

By the way, feel free to send me ideas or themes for posts (cause I do sometimes need some inspiration)

Let the party begin!

The table is set, the confetti is ready, the balloons are floating,

now all we need are the guests!

Yes today is my birthday party (well in a few hours it will start). Haha I just noticed that these pictures make it look as if it was a child's birthday =D but I just love confetti, balloons, etc and I'll always love them ;they always add something very special to birthdays.

Simple Pictures (5)

Hi everyone! It's been a while that I haven't been on my blog. I just had no time with revisions, exams, etc... But a really nice girl I met not long ago, lent me her Sony Alpha 230, so here are the photos I took with them:

I noticed that this camera is very good for taking portraits and close-up pictures. I still think that the Canon EOS's are slightly better in image quality, especially in low light.

You can compare yourself, a few weeks ago I tried the canon eos 600d:  Simple Pictures (4)

and I think the pictures are slightly better.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of summer and I'll try to post more pictures!

What I read...

Hello again! Today's post is about books. Summer is nearly here, so what should we read? Well, being quite a reader, I decided to show you four of my favourite books. Who knows, you might want to read one of them? Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
